ASTÉRISME

Our commitments

Three clauses, written into every contract.

Astérisme operates with three commitments that are not marketing claims. They are contractual obligations, written into every master services agreement we sign with a partner. They cannot be waived, modified, or interpreted away.

Domain exclusivity.

We will not serve a direct competitor of yours on the scope you entrust to us. The scope is defined precisely in the contract: industry, geography, business unit. Within that defined perimeter, we work with one partner only. This is not a courtesy; it is a binding clause. If you ask us to expand the scope after engagement, we will refuse new engagements that would conflict, even if they are commercially attractive. This commitment is the foundation of trust between Astérisme and its partners. It also means that our number of partners is intentionally limited and that some markets will reach saturation.

No data extraction.

The material you entrust to Astérisme — your expertise, your decisions, your operational memory — is used for one purpose only: building and operating your knowledge constellation. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. We do not aggregate your data with that of other partners. We do not resell anonymized or pseudonymized derivatives. We do not allow third-party access for research, benchmarking, or any purpose not explicitly authorized in writing. When the engagement ends, you choose: full export of your constellation in standard formats, or full deletion within thirty days, with documented destruction certificates.

No workforce reduction.

Astérisme is designed to augment human teams, not replace them. We will not deploy our platform in a way that aims at, or results in, the reduction of your workforce. This clause is explicit in our contract: any deployment plan whose stated objective includes headcount reduction is grounds for refusal at the proposal stage and grounds for termination if it emerges during engagement. This is an unusual commitment in the AI industry. We make it because we believe transmission is a human act, and because the value of a constellation comes from the experts who shape it, not from their replacement.

Why these three commitments?

Each of them solves a real problem we have observed in the AI industry. Vendors who sell to multiple competitors in the same market dilute the value they deliver to each. Vendors who quietly use partner data to improve their generic models extract value without reciprocity. Vendors whose ROI calculations rely on FTE reduction generate short-term savings and long-term institutional damage. We refuse all three patterns because we believe they are inconsistent with the kind of partnership we want to offer.

Verification.

These commitments are not self-certified. Each year, we produce a compliance report for every active partner, documenting how we have respected each clause. The report is delivered to your General Counsel or equivalent. If we ever fail one of these commitments, we will tell you, document the breach, and accept the contractual consequences.

What we ask in return.

A serious commitment from your side to the long-term nature of the engagement. A real intent to transform how your organization preserves and transmits its critical knowledge. Availability for the slow work that quality demands. Trust that builds, rather than trust that is presumed. If these conditions are met, we will be the right partner. If they are not, we will be the first to say so.
